Organic Skin Care Products - Because Your Body Matters

Your skin is the largest organ of your body, and it's impossible to ignore it. The biggest wish of many is to overcome dry, flaky skin, which comes from failing to moisturize, excessive sun or tanning, or simply age. There are expensive cosmetic treatments and a whole aisle in the grocery stores on anti-aging and moisturizing skin care, all promising to firm your skin and make you look more youthful. But instead of spending an exorbitant amount of money and time smearing chemicals on your body, why not go the all-natural route? Organic skin care products are becoming more and more popular each day and for good reason.

Your skin absorbs whatever you put on it into your body. The soap you use in the shower, the body lotion your slather on, the moisturizer on your face, the makeup remover you use; all of it is absorbed into your body, and you want to be the healthiest you can be. You don't want chemicals and preservatives soaking into your body, you want what nature intended. That is what organic skin care products can deliver.

Made with only organic ingredients that mother natures provides for us, the products will never have mineral oils, synthetic preservatives, artificial colors and fragrances, GMO (genetically modified organisms) botanical sources or otherwise inferior or harmful substances. These products that are not made with organic products, over time, can actually do more harm then good to your skin. The chemicals weaken your skin, causing dryness and sensitivities, as well as many other problems, all of which may well affect your health and accelerate the aging process, which is the very thing you are trying to avoid. Some of the "bad" chemicals that are put into non-organic products are Mercury, Dioxane, Nitrosamines, DEA, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) and Polyethylene Glycol. These chemicals are absorbed through the skin and then spread through your body, which can cause damage to organs.

Contrary to popular belief; "organic" and "natural" is not the same thing. Many people assume that if their skin care product says natural then it is 100% percent natural. This is not true. Products labeled "natural" often use synthetic preservatives and other un-natural chemical ingredients along with plant ingredients.

Organic skin care products are made with ingredients grown without any synthetic chemicals, sewage sludge or GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Organic products typically do not contain synthetic ingredients because you can not certify a synthetic as organic.

Once you know what to look for in a product it makes buying easier. You might pay a little bit more for an organic skin care product because the costs are usually higher to ensure the quality that you deserve. But the few extra dollars that you will pay for organic skin care products is worth it in the long run. Your health equals your quality of life and we all want a high quality of life, don't we?

We have only one body - it makes sense to care for it wisely.
